Hey Everyone,
I was experiencing the woes of the 3200 error just like everyone else. It finally worked, but I noticed it was saying restoring phone.. etc.

Once the phone booted up it was at a welcome screen asking me to set it up etc. The wireless, the Apple ID, whether I wanted to restore from backup. It seems that it wiped my phone.

However, now my phone is syncing... all my sync options were still ticked off, so I just had to click sync. However now it is putting all my apps back on... in the music app all my songs are greyed out and waiting to be put back on. Etc.

All my text messages are gone though :( and all my safari bookmarks!
This has been the worst iOS upgrade experience ever! Although I think I will enjoy iOS5 once I get everything fixed... *sigh

Is this supposed to be happening or did I somehow choose restore and not realize it?

Help!

Sounds like iTunes didn't restore the backup file. If worse comes to worse, you have to just resync everything. :(

Great. Well at least it had all the Apps I wanted on their already checked so I don't have to go through them.

Most I will have to do is put them in their folders and fix my safari bookmarks.

Sorry to hear this happened to you too :(

I love iOS5 but this update process has been hell Apple... what's going on!?
