I deleted the photo file after copying it to a backup drive. It was 52gb but I did not gain any free space. Yes I did empty the trash. I have run Clean My Mac as well as first aid in recovery mode and still does not show any freed up space. Getting frustraited and just about ready to reformatt the drive and start over as my disk is ssd drive is full.
Storage info on about this Mac and Get Info on the ssd both show the same results. There are nothing to delete inIpoto as it has a new file and does not show any deleted photos. Time machine is turned off of auto backup.

I looked for large files and did not find any, tried all the above and more. Fixed the problem with a disk formatt and a new OS install
