I accidentally deleted my iTunes library. I can redo all my playlists no problem but how do I get my "purchased music" smart playlist back?

If the files are gone from your hard drive there is no way to get them back without buying them again. Apple have made this very clear more than one: Back Up Your Purchased Music Files!

I still have all my music files I just deleted the library file that had all my playlist info. So, all my music is still there. I know I could type .mp4 but I also ripped all my CDs in AAC so it would put those in there too. I just want my purchased music in one playlist.

The poster above wrote "m4p". These are the protected AAC files that you buy at iTMS. The ones that you rip from your CD collection are m4a. Both of these types of files are AAC files, but they're also known as mp4.

Confusing? Yes.

Hmm...didn't know that. I'll try it when I get home for lunch.

Thanks!!!

This is very simple:

Go to Advanced/Check For Purchaced Music, enter your name and password (if applicable), hit the Check butoon, wait a bit and a Purchaced Music playlist should appear right below the Music Store button.
