Deleted Winterboard & cydia, still have apps on phone

Okay so I deleted Cydia and Winterboard off my jailbroken iPhone since I don't have a USB cable to restore so I found out I could delete cydia so I did that. I also deleted winterboard because it was killin my battery a too fast for my taste. Everything feels much quicker and stable and my battery is holding up like when I first made the purchase. The thing is, I still have the fontswap app on my phone from when I downloaded it from Cydia.
I like having it on there because I switch fonts here and there. I know eventually I won't want it on there, is there anyway I can delete it without a restore?

Well first of all Cydia doesn't use any battery or resources when it's not open.

You should not of deleted it. If you get a Cydia app error you could be stuck. And the only safe way to delete Cydia apps is thru Cydia.

You can use Redsn0w to reinstall it but since you improperly deleted it, it might not re-install correctly which will certianly screw up the phone.

You didn't by chance install Aptitude before you removed Cydia? If so you may still be able to make any changes via SSH. If you're very savvy with Linux you could probably just use apt commands to install/uninstall things, but it's nice to have some kind of GUI for that.

Also, it IS possible to just delete apps since it's a Unix based system and has no registry. You just may be hard pressed finding every file from every app that you installed to remove them. Much better off having Cydia there to handle it for you. That is unless you installed all your apps via .deb files and kept them. Then you can remove them easily via the command line.

Other than that, I agree with Dhlizard... Just hide Cydia if you don't want it. Best to keep it just in case.

not worried at all, tomorrow I'll be home from Hawaii, then I will do a Restore. Just don't have my USB cable with me or I would have done a restore. Everything is running smoothly though I just have that 1 fontwap app from cydia on my phone.

Not really stressin since I usually use fonts from it anyways. Haven't seen an error yet.
