I wanted to add a repo source through cydia and entered in an incorrect address. Now whenever I start up cydia I get an error message saying it obviously can not find the path. I went in under sources to see if I could delete the errant source but I couldn't find it. Is there a way to delete the error message? I tried turning my phone off and back on but that didn't work

thanks.

You need to delete the line for that source in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cydia.list.

ETA: scirica makes a good point about checking /var/lib/apt/lists for entries. I don't know if such a list will be created if the repository can't be contacted, but it's worth checking.

Do the following to at least get rid of the annoying error messages when you start up cydia, assuming you know how to use SSH or iFile to get into your phone:

1. Go to /etc/apt/sources.list.d find the cydia list and edit to delete the incorrect repo entry.

2. Go to /var/lib/apt/lists and delete any list with your incorrect repo entry.

3. Reboot your phone and start up Cydia.

The only shortcoming with this process is that if you ever add a new repo to your iphone it is likely that the old bad repo will show up again. Just repeat the process and you'll be fine. To date I haven't found a way to completely clear cydia of the bad repos.

Good Luck

Thanks alot. Just before you guys posted, I found a fix on the Internet similar to what you mentioned.
