Deleting email from iPhone

Hi. For many years now I have had this problem and it doesn't seem like Apple are going to fix it.

Sometimes when I delete an email on my iPhone, I get the deleted email animation, but the email remains on the screen instead of it switching to the next email. I then have to swipe back out to the inbox view and move on manually.

Does anyone know what the problem might be and how to fix it? It only happens occasionally.

It might be that there's a delay in the server and the email remains. It's still a strange bug so I don't know of a fix for it. Report it via Apples feedback assistant on support.apple.com.

Hi. What is the back-end? (iCloud, Yahoo, Outlook.com, Exchange, Gmail, etc.) I haven't seen this before but I generally delete from the inbox list by swiping.

Yup. Happens about once a week for me. I doubt there's a solution to this one other than someone at Apple eventually fixing it.
