my phone is corporate and I get tons of emails all day long. Maybe 30% are worthless. In iOS 9 when i could swipe left to delete emails from my lock screen (swipe left then use thumb for password)

I have figured out how to reenable thumb to unlock on my iPhone 6 but can't delete sight the simple swipe.

Am I missing a trick to reenable this?

So you have the "view" option that shows up when you swipe the email notification? Tap on that and that should show you more options.

Yep, just tried this for my exchange account from the lock screen.

My options are Trash and Mark as Read.

Ok, 9.3 to delete 4 emails

Swipe left, Delete, thumb unlock, swipe left, delete, swipe left, delete, swipe left, delete

Now ios10 to delete 4 emails

swipe left, view, delete, unlock, swipe left, view, delete, swipe left, view, delete, swipe left, view, delete

9x was also easier because delete was at far edge of screen. Swipe left and then thumb back to right edge. Could be done while not looking. Finding view than trash in 10 requires looking at screen and more careful placement

Major workflow downgrade
[doublepost=1476986762][/doublepost]Also, is there a way to have the newest email in a long conversation appear at the top instead of the bottom of all the emails?

Have you tried playing around with various threading options in the Mail sections of Settings?

Thanks. That was a big help in terms of newest item on top

New problem now though - micro font in my emails suddenly. Can't read anything now :/

Swipe left led directly to a thumb unlock on iOS 9? I think you're confusing that with swipe right.

I feel like you've either left out a lot of steps on the iOS 9 list or you're actually unlocking your phone, going to mail app and deleting from there. Which is not a fair comparison with the iOS 10 steps, plus you can do the same there too

Yeah, something odd with fonts in Mail sometimes especially related to some threading options it seems. Try enabling/disabling some of those options again. Perhaps restating your device too. Sometimes that can help.

Used to do that all the time while waking between meetings, one handed. Didn't need to drop into the mail app.

Well please correct the list then, you cannot delete by swiping alone on the lock screen

yes after you edited your post. Thanks for being so gracious

Btw swipe and view is replaced with 3D Touch on 6s onwards
The old swipe options are still available on iPhone 5.

Unfortunately the iPhone 6 in the middle has the swipe and view.
Consider an upgrade or downgrade.

@bking1000 What phone are you on? I have a 6 and have to go through the same workflow you do to delete. However, if you have a 6s or above, I think you just press and the delete menu appears from the press, and you can just slide to it with your thumb and delete. Correct 3D touch users?

Yeah, it's a somewhat interesting/strange division they created--3D Touch gets one thing (which is understandable) but then non-3D Touch still have different versions as well, one that sort of simulates 3D Touch for some reason, and another one that's still the old method essentially.

Sorry about that. I first thought it was corrected but saw my error . I thought I edited my response post, but as I'm working from my phone I clearly messed it up. The list was indeed incorrect at first, but has since been edited

Yeah, it's a hardware upgrade driver, but as I have a corporate phone, it's not my call to upgrade. Apple could correct it though, if enough iPhone 6 users ask for it

I don't see that happening. Much as I would like to see it.
