Deleting iCloud backup

I accidently tried to restore my iphone from my ipad backup in icloud. This caused the restore to freeze half way thru. I've restored the iphone again with the correct backup, but I cannot backup to the icloud with my ipad any more as it says the backup file is currently being used to restore another device. I cannot delete this backup either as I get the same error. Any ideas? Is there a way to delete this ipad backup and start again?

install the icloud control panel.
from there you can see the backups and delete them if wanted.

Anyway to do this on a mac? I'm running 10.6
