Although I have deleted all images, including those in the "Recently Deleted" album, I can still see some images when I connect the iPhone to photo editing software (Lightroom 5). Why can I see these images in LR5, but yet they are not visible in any of the photo albums in the phone?

Could this be a Lightroom cache?

Alternatively, could this be some photos that are stored in a third party app? It might be possible that Lightroom is seeing these.

Thanks for the response. When I disconnect the iPhone from Lightroom, the folder and the images disappear and reappear when it is reconnected, which infers it is not a Lightroom function.
Perhaps it is some other app in the iPhone, but I cannot think of anything in the phone apps which might do this.
