Being able to edit the Wi-Fi network list on iOS 16 is a welcome feature. But I noticed that “Managed Networks” cannot be deleted. Does anyone know why?

These networks appear to be associated with the carrier SIM. But their details must be stored on the phone or in iCloud; there’s a managed network in the list for an old carrier I no longer have the SIM for, but my iPhone keeps trying to connect to it. I checked Keychain Access on the Mac, but I couldn’t find any of the managed networks. How can I delete them?

@thewhitehart Same issue for me! I've got old "Managed Networks" from my previous carrier, with no way to remove. Someone out there must have a solution or answer to this issue!?!?

I am having the same issue myself. My phone started with one carrier and has moved to 2 other carriers and still have the old network under managed networks. I am not sure if resetting network settings would help this or not.

I had similar problem n I’ve been able to fix it. May be helpful to u too
Go to settings > general > vpn and device management, then remove whatever that’s there. Maybe you may see name of whatever network u wanna remove. Done

Can’t delete managed networks but you can try to toggle off the auto join…I had to keep exiting the app and each time I reopened it, auto join was toggled back on. I persevered and it wasn’t easy but they eventually stayed toggled off.

What's the downside of not being able to remove them?
In my case, my phone keeps connecting to “Spectrum Free Trial” and there’s no internet available with it. I’ve tried 1000 times, and it always turns “Auto Join” back on. It will also prioritize that network over other networks that do have a connection. It’s extremely annoying.
