For some reason when I delete a message in Apple mail on my Mac they do not go away but reappear on another device. I noticed this after I installed Catalina. Anyone?

also having the same issue. this is a big problem. I'm wondering if it's with google since all of my accounts (except one) are GSuite based.

I found the problem yesterday playing around in server settings and allocating a trash folder which fixed it for me. Strange why I had no problem in Apple mail going back to Tiger.

Check under prefs-->accounts-->Gmail account-->mailbox behavior--> And then select a trash mailbox.

This worked for me as the trash mailbox is on the mac's hard drive.
