Trying to delete iMessages from my Mac. I have it set to not save messages past 1 year but still when you search for terms, older messages appear and you cannot delete them one by one. I assume these are archived messages. I have found ways online to delete all messages including those that are archived but I believe doing this may also delete all messages on my iPhone and iPad. I'm wondering if there is a way to only delete the archived messages or a way to delete archived messages one by one when using the search function in the iMessage application all while not affecting the message currently on my iPhone and iPad.

Thanks!
