iPod Deleting Old iPod Firmware-Windows

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows where the iPod firmware files reside on Windows XP. I want to delete the old ones from my iPod Nano and iPod Touch as they take up considerable space. Thank You for your much appreciated help!
