Hi everyone
Our office currently runs 10.6.8 exclusively, but we're looking at upgrading to 10.8.2. I've installed ML on a few test machines, and it generally works okay, however I have stumbled a bit on the iTunes front.
As we are in a corporate environment, we have decided we don't want individuals to have access to iTunes - we don't want them loading up their workstations with music/podcasts/etc, and we don't want to hear them complain to the IT department when they lose their favorite song.
We want to continue to prevent access to iTunes for users, but, as I'm sure most of you know, you can't delete it (or Chess, or Game Center, which we also don't want them to have access to).
I wouldn't mind hiding it, but you know as well as I do, that someone will come in and plug their iPhone into their workstation, and iTunes will pop up...
So my question is, is there a way to delete iTunes?
Or can I hide it completely and prevent it from starting if a user plugs in an iDevice?
Or can I password protect an application so they cannot use it without an admin password?
Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
