Hello,
I just got my iphone today and synched it with my mac and mobile me. I imported photos (from my iphoto) with itunes (of course), but they all came over. I don't want them all. How can I delete some of them.

When I open just one pic it doesn't give me a trash can option to the right. To be honest there is no trash can on my front page of the iphone either.

Do I need to do something special?

Sorry, but currently i am an iphoneitard!

Thanks to anyone that can offer me some help.

happy new year!:D

You turned on photo-syncing in iTunes. Turn it off the same way and re-sync.

Or, if you want, just select certain albums to control which photos to keep on the phone.

thank you

i will try it now.
however, if i want to put photos in my iphone from my iphoto on my macbook how do i do that w/out syncing it?
when i hit the sync it wouldn't let me choose individual pictures. is this possible?

thank you for your help! this is all new to me. i'm very glad i found this forum. i'm sure i'll have tons of questions!

You make albums in iPhoto and put what you want in them. iTunes lets you pick albums you want on the phone.

Make an album called "iPhone" in iPhoto and tell iTunes to always sync just that. Then, in iPhoto, drag what you want into that folder and take stuff out you don't want.

I also have some 'Smart Albums.' For example, I have one called "Last 2 Months" that automatically contains ALL photos shot in the last 60 days. This keeps recent photos on my phone without filling it up since anything older than that is automatically removed from the phone whenever I sync.

you are the best!

SO SMART! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP! I'm off to create and iphone album! :)

thanks again for being so helpful and speaking in terms I could understand!:):):)

Learn to love Smart Albums!

I have another called "1 Year Ago." It is:
DATE IS IN THE LAST 13 MONTHS
DATE IS NOT IN THE LAST 11 MONTHS

This gives me everything that happened a year ago. Right now it contains 375 photos from Christmas and New Years in 2007. In a few weeks they'll be replaced with January 2007. It's a fun way to see what I was doing a year ago.

I also put iPhone wallpapers I like in iPhoto and put "Wallpaper" in the comments. Then I have a smart album that gathers anything with "Wallpaper" in the comments and sync that to my phone.
