Deleting photos from Selfie folder

Hi guys! needing some help. I recently deleted photos from my camera roll but for some reason they are still in the individual selfie folder. When I go into the folder I cannot physically delete them. I can select them but it will not let me delete them. So annoying. Any help is much appreciated.

Were these taken on the device or perhaps moved over from your computer or another device via iTunes or iCloud?

They were taken on the actual phone. I deleted them from camera roll and also emptied the deleted folder yet they are still there.

I have the same issue. Photos are completely deleted yet remain in the STUPID Selfie Folder. Waiting for Apple to give me an answer.
