I hope I am posting this in the right place. I went through the music app on my iPhone and deleted the stock playlists such as classical music and purchased playlists, etc. When I deleted them, it came up with delete from music which I did and they are gone. Some of the playlists had music in them and I want to make sure that when I deleted them it didn't delete the music or hide it in iCloud. Basically what I am asking is if I was okay deleting those stock playlists and if they would have deleted some of my music or not? Is it okay to delete the stock playlists?

Deleting a playlist should never delete the music from your library.

Thanks for your reply. The wording when I deleted those playlists is weird since it said delete from music and I thought it sounded like it was also deleting the songs since the songs were in the playlist I deleted. Have you deleted those stock/ genius playlists before in the music app?

It's the very first music related thing I do when setting up a new device.

I completely agree with you, the message is worded like it will delete the music with the playlist. I can't understand why it doesn't just ask if you want to delete the "playlist". Hopefully this and other problems will get fixed in iOS 10.
