Deleting Transfered My Document files from Windows on my Mac

I copied my Windows My Document folder to an external Hard Drive and copied the folder onto my IMAC in the Documents folder. While trying to delete files many asked for a password yet some deleted with no problem. I have no password protected files. I've tried to rm command in terminal but it says I don't have permission. How do you get ride of this pesky files?

sudo rm <file>
in the terminal, it makes it run with administrator-rights. be careful not to delete anything else accidentally though.

Dont you need to have the Root account active for this to work?

Operation Not Permitted

I tried the sudo rm <Filename> in the terminal but I got a Operation not permitted reply. Any other suggestion how to delete files files transfered copied over from my windows machine?

Try going to 'Get Info' on your Documents folder and change the permissions from there (you'll need to enter your root password to change them)
