Deliberate Nexus Prime leak?

What a surprise to see a Nexus Prime leak on a day like today.

What you are seeing here is the first live photo of the Nexus Prime (or part of it), which comes to confirm several important specs of the upcoming device. First, we've got the HD resolution of the Super AMOLED confirmed - that's 720p on a screen just 4.6" in diagonal. As you can see from the image itself this gives you a pixel density of over 320 dpi, which is certainly more than anyone could need.
And don't be confused by the strange 1184 x 720 pixels resolution that appears on the system info. That's just the active area of the screen, with the status bar on the top and the three soft buttons on the bottom not counted. The Samsung Nexus Prime will surely come with a regular 1280 x 720 pixels screen.

I'm definitely interested in the device but my suspicions say deliberate leak is deliberate.

Anyone with a single doubt on what smartphone to get next should probably wait for these three things:

1. iOS5/Next gen iPhone (today)
2. Ice Cream Sandwich/Next gen Nexus (Oct 11th)
3. Mango (now)/Nokia WP7 hardware.

It's going to be one hell of an end to the year to see all of this arrive. :cool:

Would that be better than the galaxy Note tho? Cuz I'm really thinking about getting it if we don't get anything from Apple too. Hope not, but that would be my second option for this year smart phone.

What kind of "leak" is this ? This is just the SGS SII HD's screen. The only "leak" about this is that the Nexus Prime would again be a Samsung phone, one that is already officially announced in Korea :

Giant hands ? Come on, these hyperboles need to stop :

SGS II HD : 129.8 x 68.8 x 9.5 mm
iPhone 4 : 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm

We're talking 1.5 cm higher and 1 cm wider with barely any more thickness.

So you went from tiny hands to giant hands in the space of 1 cm ? :rolleyes:

Well considering the only people who really know about the Nexus tend to be tech geeks and are in a different category it not going to matter. At most this leak was to keep it at least somewhat in the press today and we all know they will be reporting iPhone due to the pent up demand for it.
