I recently bought the 2407 and LOVE IT. I don't need to wall mount it yet, but I was considering it, and I don't know too much about it.

Installation aside (which I'm clueless on), what should I be looking for. Does Dell have one specifically for that monitor? Any particluar brands I should look for. I'm open to any and all solutions.

Like I said, right now it works fine just sitting on my desk, but it may be a future possibility and I feel like you guys would know more than anyone else. Thanks!

Not 100% "au fait" with wall mounting, but I believe the best way is to go VESA wallmounting or something?

Check that your monitor can do VESA brackets, then go out and buy one i guess?

Velcro! The super strong kind!! haha no... I kind drill in to my dorm wall so I wish there is a way for me... I might be getting one of those stands that swivels and all that crazy stuff.

Look through the documentation and it should discuss VESA wall mount compatibility. There is one critical parameter, which is a mounting width -- it is probably 100mm, but might possibly be 75mm or some other value. So you need a mount that matches this.

But other than that, the other critical issue is how your wall is constructed. If your wall is drywall with studs, you're probably best off using boards or some other support to get the VESA adaptor mounted to two separate adjacent studs.

If your walls are cinder block or something like that, it's a wee bit more complicated... I had my heart set on a wall-mount in my new apt and I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to do yet. The wall I want my TV on is cinder block. There's a large beam running overhead. I wonder if I could find two pretty chains or cables that match the furniture and suspend it from eyebolts in the beam? I guess I could then put some pad of some sort on the back, and set it up so that it's just off the wall... :D
