Some system configurations can get up to 19 hours. Dell claims to have acheived this using a mix of high-capacity batteries and system and software tweaks.

I would be very interested to know more details, so far not much info are available online.
 
A long time ago I've heard about a technology that uses some kind of nano silicon wires on Li-ion batteries, making them last 10x more. But I never seen any product based on it. Maybe Dell is using this technology?

Like hard drive space, you can't go much wrong with a better energy density, as long as it doesn't blow up. Everyone's craving more power, as it's the limiting factor in a lot of components, products, services.
