so even though touch function wont work the monitor will display ok then :) ok i was worried it would only work as external display and i would have to buy a monitor from apple.

one more question if i install windows 8 on boot camp the touch function would work on windows right???

Correct, the projected capacitive touch panel overlay used by Dell will work on Boot Camp and not on OS X today without an overpriced special kiosk style driver from Europe. It will run on boot camp and on Parallels / VMWare if you assign the USB device to the VM and not the Mac.

My 21" Dell touchscreen just arrived today and I'm looking forward to some multi-touch Mavericks OS X action in the very near future.

Thx!
Tom

thank you for all the help on my doubts on this

Support for Dell touch in Mavericks?

Tom- is there some evidence to suggest that Mavericks will fully support the Dell touchscreen? I'd love to get one if so.
