I'll keep this brief -- thanks in advance to anyone who can help out.

I'm running 12.2 and trying to use 2x Dell U2721DE monitors with my MBP14. I've tried the following options (output to display input):

1. USB-C to USB-C
2. HDMI to HDMI
3. HDMI to USB-C

Across all options, the scaling doesn't work as intended. Icons and text are fuzzy - Dell has not released DDM for the U2721DE, and I'm not entirely sure why that's the case. There doesn't seem to be a fix, at least based on what I've read thus far.

Can someone here confirm?

Cheers,
S

I have a similar issue: My mini M! will not display from the HDMI port. I worked just fine before the Monterey upgrade. After Monterey installed could only use USB-C to HDMI. I would really like to use the USB-C for other things. Also, I have tested the HDMI cable on other devices and it works AOK. Plus it is brand new. I have tested on each new version of Monterey. No one else seems to be having this issue.

Not sure what the specs are on a Dell U2721DE. I see a U2722DE listed on their website. That monitor is a 2560x1440 resolution monitor. Of course it's going to be more fuzzy than your built-in display. The built-in display is 3024x1964 at only 14". The external monitor has lower resolution with almost 3 times the screen real estate. If you want crisp text on a 27" monitor, you need one at 4K. Maybe the Dell U2720Q.
