I've been considering molesting a Dell U4021QW and hooking it up to my 2017 iMac 5K 27". Has anyone done this? I haven't pulled the trigger yet, so would like to hear the good, the bad and the ugly. How does it compare to the 5K display on the iMac? Any glitches (flicker, etc.) or problems (tinting, display uniformity) I should know about before laying down the shekels?
Also I'm pretty sure that this has a matte screen. I would REALLY like for it to be glossy. I've seen some YouTube videos where users have peeled off a thin plastic film from the front of Dell displays that gives it that matte look, to reveal the glossy underneath. Not sure if that is possible with this display or if I'd want to try that with something this expensive.
