u don't have to own a small business to order from it. for all they know you are an entrepeneur and use ur own name as ur business. i've ordered tons of monitors and machines from there. When you go to order just put ur name as ur company name and u will be fine. no need to worry

Your school student help department probably has a Dell University membership I.D. number you can use to buy as a student.

The education and small business stores will sometimes have friendly
sales contests between them and if you call in your order and get
one of their better reps,, they'll drop the price just to beat the other guys
to the sale.

Worked like a charm getting my Dell 2405

Started at normal price of $999.00, ended up shipped for $783.00 :D

that would be great if it worked out like that lets hope for the best
i still dont understand what you mean by ''Your school student help department probably has a Dell University membership I.D.''
yeah they got alot of brand new dells but i wouldnt know who to ask

my university in the south isnt even listed

and rmhop81 thanks ill try that

so would it be better to call the order in or just do it over the web ?
what would you assume has the best succession rate

Work them on the phone. Kill them with kindness.

If you are a qualified student just ask for the Dell University Store Rep.

Your school bookstore or IT department manager probably has your school's
official Member I.D. number.

My school had it listed on the student online help forums

You'll need that I.D# when you call, then they'll create
your own individual member I.D. number.

yeah he should order from there if it ends up being cheaper....but majority of the time it's cheaper from small business unless you have major coupons on EPP or dell home section....
