I am planning on getting a new mac mini and I am already completely sold on it, except, is it dependable? I have noticed that lots of them have been showing up in the refurbished part of the apple online store. I just want to know, is the hardware depanable? Will it last for a long time? Thanks.
Apple rules!

Mac Mini's are very dependable. I've had mine for a year and a half and have no problems. Many people still have the G4 and Core Duo Mac Minis.

I've had 5 minis in my house over the past 5 years, and all are still in service, including the original G4 model.

I bought one of those refurbished 2010 mini's and I dont have any complaints, Its rock solid.

I have my 2009 mini running 24/7 as an Elgato/iTunes Server.

Never had a problem with it inabout 18 months. Only time have ever shutdown is when my Drobo failed and so no iTunes/Elgato Storage are available.

Reboots only when Software Updates require it too.

Really cannot fault it.
