If you have a 42 AW you need a 24mm Deployant Clasp.

If you have a 38 AW you need a 22mm Deployant Clasp.

This guy makes the best deployant clasps out there (for the money). I've been using his clasps for years, he's very well regarded in the watch collector forums/community. I've usually only owned single fold clasps as they're easier to get on and off, but I decided to try the double-fold on my Apple Watch band and it's a bit more of a pain to get on but it's a bit more comfortable. The Apple Link Band uses a double-fold style clasp as well.

thank you for the info...too bad he doesn't make a 24mm as I have the 42 AW.

That is not necessary correct. 42 AW use 24mm "band" measured at the watch end of watch, a 24mm band could have straight without taper at buckle end, or taper from 1-5mm at buckle end in normal band, you could always taper more than that if you like. Deployant size is based on the width of buckle end, not watch end.
So it will depend on the band design.

I am using a 24mm band, it tapers to 22mm at the buckle. Make sure to check the band's sides at the buckle, not the lugs...

The band the OP was looking at was a straight band, no tapper.

Always measure with caliber. A 1-2mm taper could look almost same, but a gap on deployant will not look good.

Thanks for sharing! I ordered one today. I wish I had seen this post before ordering the cheapie ones that'll be coming to me from eBay. My greatest worry with all these 3rd party band parts is that a piece will fail and the watch will fall off my wrist.

Oh, well. At least I'll be able to compare what $40 got me, vs the $3 ones .

Update:

It's a very nice clasp. It holds itself closed a little better compared to the eBay ones and goes beautifully with my Clockwork Synergy band.

I would recommend getting a spring bar tool-- getting the original buckle off was a real challenge.
