Breaking it would probably do the trick, but I'm not convinced that it would make you any happier.
I'm curious though, why do you need to "love" your computer? Most people buy their computer to use it, and from the sound of things thats exactly what you do.

Buying a computer shouldn't be treated as an investment folks, be it financial or emotional. ALL computers will depreciate over time. If that upsets you, don't buy a computer.
You could always give it a yellow shower and watch the fireworks it produces.
