Description field not populating on iTunes for Windodws

Very strange situation i am having. I am ripping and encoding my DVD library with Handbrake, and meta tagging with MetaX. If i add the resulting files to iTunes for Mac , i get all the descriptions and the AppleTV displays them as expected. When i add and share my itunes for windows library to the AppleTV, the descriptions do not display within iTunes or on the AppleTV. I ultimately want to use an old WinXP box to serve iTunes to the AppleTV so i'd really like to figure this one out. Has anyone else experienced this? It is more of an iTunes issue than AppleTV i believe , but thought this would be a good place to ask.
