I just wanted to create a discussion on the new design and specifically how the typography and spacing/padding of elements really sing.

Applications look less cluttered, the spacing makes it a breeze, and the new icons quickly highlight activity... but this is just my first day on Big Sur.

I was wondering how the new elements elevate or distract you during the creative process. I’m a creative designer, coder, and media producer - so far I have positive reviews, but I’d love to know your experience. Also the login screen... that looks... different. Might have to get used to that one.

For me it's just one step further towards highlighting the content more than the UI itself. While I can understand, for example, why the lower UI contrast can trouble some people, for me it's just a better way to highlight the actual content and make everything less busy and more focused (as humans tend to direct their eyesight to the areas of higher contrast first in general). In some way I feel a bit more relaxed looking at Mac OS BS vs Catalina.
There's plenty of quirks and problems but I don't see why they wouldn't be solved over the next few years as it's always been with OS design changes.
