Oh, and it'd have gestures. Draw an arrow pointing right and it'll go to the next song, use two fingers to change the volume, etc.

I think it'd be fantastic.

Um, why have half the screen size shrunk because an unnecessarily large touch area?

As we've seen from the iphone and ipt, you can just use the entire screen for touch recognition...just seems like a bad design decision, IMO.

Cheaper, and no smudges. And you can hover over stuff and see what you're doing.

Why doesn't the iPod Classic use a touch screen? That click wheel takes up like half the space.

Its not bad I like it, but it just wouldn't be for me. Ever since I knew about touch screens I have always wanted one, and it just works perfectly for me. If they are like nano cheap and held up really well I'd consider getting one, but i wouldn't give up the touch for anything right now.

It doesn't really work for me. I'm a sucker for interface design, and I think you won't get away with a non-multitouch interface. Just make the outwards appearance even better than the iPhone's and you have got yourself a winner.
It's not bad, though.

How can you make it look better than the iPhone though, the iphone is simple.
