hi,

i just got Desktop Manager and i've been having a play around with it.

it's an awesome virtual desktop app... :D

but i've just been wondering... how does it go about managing all those windows from different desktops? i mean if i've got a few windows open on all four virtual desktops would CPU usage be the same as having all windows open normally on the regular desktop? or does it put unused desktops in the background so that only the desktop in use uses CPU time? what sort of a effect will using DM have on my system? (in terms of slowing it down)

i'm just wondering about that so i can decide if it's better just to have it all open on a regualr destop, and use expose to sort things. or would it be okay, from a CPU usage point of view, to use DM to group all my windows together.

it's been a long day, i hope i explained that clearly. :p

Frankly speaking, I have no idea how DM works exactly. But as a programmer, I suppose that CPU usage stays about the same, regardless of the window position. If you minimize windows into the dock, the programs still continue to run also. Whether to use DM or Exposé is just a matter of personal preference. I use both, actually.
