With my iMac, everything is working just fine, but there is a little strange thing...

1st: When I login or during the cube going around from fast user switching, the Desktop for my account is another picture than what I have currently, and yes this is after a re-boot.

What is this and how do I fix it

2nd: With using the system prefs automatically sleep function after a certain time, I would set a time, and it would work, but not the next day...it varies

Solution ?

3rd: When I normally put the iMac to sleep with the remote or from the apple menu, but the thing is, many times the computer wakes up immediately, it does though seem to have soemthing to do with the lighting conditions. This is because often early in the morning and I turn on the light the computer wakes up

What the $%%&......I like the function but I would like to control it ;)

I would try and turn off Fast User switching, it seems to cause problems sometimes.

What iMac are we talking about? An iMac G5 ALS?

There is no problem, just annoying why can't it change...the iMac is the one in my sig ;)

Anyone else know the answer to any of the other questions or this one

For question number one; do you have this checked in Desktop prefs?

No, not even chaining at all ;)
So you do not have that option checked, but your wallpaper/desktop is still changing? Does it always change to the same picture (like the default), or is it random? Does it only change when fast user switching?

...Or did I misunderstand the first question entirely?

It is changing to an old one I had before, and it is only during fast user switching...the box and then it returns.
