Desktop picture reverts to defaults when restarting

Hi,

I have three monitors connect to my Mac Pro 7,1. Every time I restart the main 'first' monitor reverts its desktop picture to the standard one. The other two stay as what I had chosen.

I have tried deleting the desktop picture file in the dock folder but that didn't do any good.

The first and second monitors are connected to the two HDMI ports at the back of the Mac.
The third monitor is connected to one of the lightening ports on the back of the Mac.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Is the pic you're using as the background in your Documents folder? I don't know why, but I had this same problem until I put the pic there (and set the desktop pic by right-clicking on it and setting it).

I'll try that. No, its the stock apple one that im trying to use. Its so hit and miss, some mornings I turn it on and one screen has it, other mornings no screens, etc...thanks for your tip, I'll try
