Desktop & Screen Saver From An External HD ?

Hello,

I'm a really big user of Photos, and have zillions.

Many of mountain scenes for the Desktop and Screen Saver which I have the Mac cycle thru.

Not there, yet, but was wondering:

Can the Screensaver and Desktop Folder cycling work if the Folders containing them was
on an external HD ?

Would probably be nice to get them off of the main internal HD.

Yes. They can be on any drive that’s connected to the computer.
