Somewhere in the universe...
Hi guys, I'm new here but I'm VERY familiar with a mac already, I actually registered to show you guys something I found out:
screencaptureza3.png

You can do this by downloading PNG or JPG (haven't tried anything else yet) pictures, or making them yourself but you need to make sure it has only the things you want per picture (make background translucent), also if you want to scale things down you have to make the transparent area around the picture bigger, here's an example of what will happen then:

(The box is the maximum size you can get)

It will also help if you make the icons bigger in the view options... :D

Am I missing something? You have a Halo Wallpaper, and custom icons, whats so special?

It's not about the custom icons, its the trick that you can set up your desktop in a weird way, you could build a whole battlefield is somebody made the icons for it, also, you can do this with mario, bioshock, and any other random thing with lots of rendered pictures of it!:)

If you want the dock up there you need to enter this code into terminal, sorry but i forgot who found this:

sorry said:
defaults write com.apple.dock orientation -string top;killall Dock

Then what do you do with it?

I am not sure what you mean but here's an answer anyway: You get the images on your desktop, where the translucent part will make the character or object seem like separate things from the other icons. Now for the banshee (the flying thing), you can't hide the name tag underneath another icon but you can change the name tag to ' ' and if you have a 2nd flying object that should be called ' '. The pictures you see are icons, not a photoshopped picture.

Cool post, thanks for sharing.

I must say though, you had me super-excited when I first saw the picture and read the title: I thought you found a program that actually had the war play out in real time on your desktop... that would have been something.

Ok I get it now, the Boxes, soldiers etc.. are icons. You didn't really make that obvious, I just assumed it was a wallpaper, with custom folder, and HD icons etc...
