I really love how the calendar and task widgets blend into the wallpaper by changing their background color to match the wallpaper. However, this only occurs while you have another window open (i.e., Chrome, Acrobat, etc.). If you close everything or go back to the desktop, the widget background changes to white.

Is there a setting I'm missing or is this expected behavior? I really like it blending into the wallpaper as opposed to sticking out with the white background.

Never mind... figured it out. System Settings -> Desktop & Dock -> Widgets -> Widget Style -- choose monochrome.
