Hey all! I'm connecting to a Synology NAS and the dev betas have been working fine for me up until 7 that was just released. I've got it connected to my Time Machine and that still works fine. However, in Finder, I can no longer connect to my NAS. It just says connection failed when I try to get to it. Has anyone else had this issue with beta 7? Thanks!

1. It is Beta 6.
2. I mount my SMB shares fine with Go -> Connect to Server. What manner and protocol are you using?

Thanks for the help. And clarification on beta version

I'm mounting the SMB in the same manner. When I connect, it comes back with a pop up telling me there was a problem connecting to the server. I also see my NAS in the Finder window but it says connection failed.

Assuming yours is working fine which is telling me it probably doesn't have anything to do with the beta and is probably an issue on my end somewhere. The odd thing is that Time Machine backups are still working to that NAS. Hmm...

Have you tried both connecting with the name and IP of your Synology? Or perhaps either to the server level (smb://yourDiskstation) or or one of your shares (smb://yourDiskstation/yourShare). Maybe try smb://yourDiskstation._smb._tcp.local/yourShare

ETA: I have definitely seen error messaging when trying to connect to shares that used to work in other macOS installs, just not this one (so far). FWIW, my TimeMachine over smb is working as well.

Sweet! Thanks for the link to that thread. I was able to connect via AFP. Wasn't a big deal and was prepared to live with it till a fix came out but nice to be able to access the NAS again.
