Dev community Iphone/ipod touch Flash plug-in?

Morning..

Is anyone aware of any 3rd party/dev community work being done to bring a flash equipped browser or mobile flash plug-in to Safari?
I'm afraid I'm blissfully ignorant of just how complex and labour intensive implementing the pre mentioned functionality may be.

However Apple is of course now using its Youtube application as a selling point in the UK Iphone advertisements on tv and it's starting to rub salt in the wound.

I'm aware of the argument of it being processor intensive…However it seems to cope fine within the Youtube app? I have a friend with an Archos 605, no idea if that's using a scaled down version of the standard plug-in, regardless Opera seems to cope quite well. Also the flash capable browser on my wii (also opera i believe) works well enough.

But back to the point, I've peeked around community sources like 'Conceited software' and can't find any mention of any interest in developing something to play flash content on the iphone/ipod touch at the moment?
Anyone know of anything applicable?

The youtube player on the iphone doesn't utilize flash. youtube has converted many of it's videos over to mpeg4 video, and for the mobile versions of youtube they serve up the mpeg4 versions of the videos, rather than the flash versions.

So does anyone know if the devteam is working on some sort of flash plug in for the iphone browser?

Apple has nothing to do with it since they don't own Flash. This is 100% Adobe.

Other way round actually; this is all Apple. SJ claims the absence of Flash is due to battery woes but I think it's just 'cause Apple doesn't like Flash.

A plugin is definitely possible for mobile Safari.

im sure it will happen soon 3rd party or by jobs him self more likely 3rd party 1st in ftp u can see a folder for plug ins as well some may already knwo that
