Dev Team unlock for 2.2.1/2.30.03 - how long?

I know the baseband 2.30 is not unlockable and has been out for a while now (~5 months I think). Anybody know if the Dev team will ever be able to unlock this or has Apple really outsmarted everybody this time?

It is impossible for Apple to have made it "ununlockable".

If I were the Dev Team, I just wouldn't care about it anymore. 3.0 is more important.

They won't bother i assume they are working on the 3G baseband that is on the 3.0 beta's! As unlocking that would be way more useful that unlocking an outdated baseband!

There is an unlock for 2.30.xx baseband, but it is useless to release it. As soon as the Dev Team does, Apple will just release another firmware and baseband (2.2.2) and patch out the exploit. It's best to leave the current exploits open than to burn them.

People have such a hard time understanding this.

Just wait a few more weeks for 3.0 and Im sure the Dev Team will shine
