Does anyone know the developer discounted prices for the new 20" and 24" iMacs? I am planning to get the student developer subscription and purchase a iMac. Thanks!

Why not just look it up on apple.com? Anyways, just FYI, it's MORE expensive to buy the $99 student ACD and an iMac than it is to just buy the iMac with standard EDU discount.

Maybe I am lost in the store, but where can I see the developer prices in the store? I was planning to wait until leopard to come out and order the student ADC, that way the $99 will include a copy of leopard.

You have to go to the ACD page to get a link to the developer store. I'm confused, though. If you want to get an iMac with the ACD student discount you'll have to buy the student ACD. But if you wait till then to get the membership, you're iMac will have Leopard anyways. In either case I don't think the student ACD includes OS updates.

You're not saving any more with the ACD membership, although it has its purposes, and it's nearly free if you are going to buy an iMac anyway.

I can confirm that ADC will get you a copy of Leopard.

You get all current OS including new ones that come out during your subscription.

My maths shows the discount is no longer 20%.

What is going on?

The standard EDU pricing has gone up, comparatively, as well. I think Apple is slowly weening people off that program.

Yes, you are correct. I was thinking beta OS releases, which you don't get with the student membership. My bad. I'll have to remember that, it'll be cheaper than buying Leopard. :p

Sorry, I didn't make it clear, I will need that copy of leopard for my MBP, looks like they changed the discount of student ADC once again.

Yeah but those Student discounts kill the government ones. Pricing the new 24" iMac with the 2.8 ghz, 1TB HDD, 4GB ram, wireless mouse and protection plan no discount put me at roughly $3600, government discount put me at approx. $3400 and student put me approx. at $3300.
