Hi-

My development provisioning profile is expiring in 2 days. Can anyone help how I can renew it? I am not able to find anything which shows how to renew expiring provisioning profiles. Thanks.

Apparently, if you wait for them to expire, you can then renew them after that point. (I've haven't tried this myself yet.) If not, just create a new one.

Thanks dejo! Will the apps installed on my development device also expire? I will go-ahead and create/download a new profile but was not sure if I will need to re-install all the apps. I use my development device for demos etc.

Probably.

I think you'll need to reinstall. Remember to delete the apps and the old provisioning profile from the device and do a clean build and change to the new provisioning profile (once installed) within Xcode.

The expiry date is 17th... so will they expire on the devices on the 17th itself or on the 18th... I have a few meetings in NY and wondering if I can get buy on 17th... Thanks in advance!

I have read that after the provisioning profile expires, the Program Portal will display a "renew" button next to the file. Press "renew" and download.

I do not recall the source, but my file expires in 10 days.

just create a new profile

I just created a new profile a few weeks before my old profile was set to expire, rebuilt and reinstalled all my apps using the new profile, and then deleted the old profile that was about to expire (from both the devices and XCode).

One less glitch to have to worry about mid development cycle. Plus the expiring profile will occasionally throw up annoying warning message IIRC.

ymmv.
