I've come across a weird situation that I can't figure out so I thought I'd ask the community. I set up my new 14 Pro Max on release day using the Quick Start (QS) feature on my 13 Pro Max. That process completed without issue but I noticed that apps were getting a different device name than what is in Settings -> General -> About. The device name that came over from QS was correctly "Brian's iPhone". However, apps like Synology Photos, Home Assistant, and My Chart are all getting a default value of "iPhone". Last night I decided to set up the phone again using restoring a backup from my 13 Pro Max using my iMac and I get the same result. Find My and Apple Device List are showing the same value from Settings -> General -> About.

Anyone else run into this?

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, my issue is different in that Settings -> General -> About, iCloud/settings, and Find My show the right name but apps don't seem to see that.

I threw together a little XCode sample showing the wrong device information being stored. The first image shows my device name. The second screenshot shows a Swift app getting "iPhone" when executing UIDevice.current.name.

I've opened a technical support case with Apple for this issue.
