DFU and jailbreak

Is it possible to use someone elses restore point in DFU mode to restore your phone to a certain ios for jailbreak? After finding out the new 9.3.3 jailbreak was for 64 bit only it sucks to have a iphone 5 that isnt 9.1 or lower.

Also, when you enter your phone into DFU mode, DFU draws your backups made from itunes correct?

Restoring from a backup has nothing to do with iOS. If only it were that easy!

The only thing a backup stores is your data. iOS is redownloaded any time there is a restore, either to your device or to iTunes. Consequently, the only version downloaded is the one currently being signed.

DFU doesn't deal with backups. Put your phone in DFU mode and the only option presented to you is Upgrade and Restore, the "restore" part being short for "Restore As New". Once you've upgraded and restored as new from DFU you then restore from a backup.

I'm sorry, but it's just not that easy to beat Apple at it's own game to downgrade.
