Hey all my MBP is in China now, has been juggled between a few DHL facilities and still says it wont be in NYC until the 18th. Thats 11 days. I find that very hard to believe. My guess is it comes on the 13th or 14th. Has anybody else had DHL shipments on this round? How long did the process take?

When I was making the order, estimated date of arrival was 8th but soon after order completion changed to between 8-12

The shipment left Hong Kong, but since then two days no update at all from DHL.
Although, according to flight radar24 the plane landed in Germany.

Just frustrating and awful experience.
This coming from MBP (2018) intel i9 user…
I waited 6 years to move to M chip
But can not wait for extra days for my order 😅

I ordered on the 4th and mine is due in Western Australia on the 14th - 19th.

Based on previous times ordering Macs, Apple normally hits the first day of the delivery estimate, I have actually had things arrive early (very occasionally).

But its all courier dependent.

Mine is a BTO, as you can see it didn't get picked up until the 8th, official release day.

I got a notification from Apple when it shipped last week. It said it would be here Friday then I got a notification from DHL that it would be here the following Tuesday. On Friday I suddenly got a message from DHL that the iMac was on the truck to be delivered “today“. I watched the DHL truck meander through 1 million neighborhoods and by the time they got to my front gate, the community gate house had closed and was unmanned with self service resources readily available. I had tried to supply the driver with a code, but the driver didn’t read it and account options for recipient were very limited…. He just said “not home” and took off.

Several calls to DHL hearing they don’t work weekends. They will come back on the same delivery schedule and try again Monday. They wanted my gate code. I told them it changes daily and could not give it to them right now (Friday night when they left)…

The long and the short - this DHL experience has been a nightmare and is not the customer experience I expect from Apple. I’ve paid considerably more for their products for over 30 years and own many.

Apple needs to to step it up and use a more reliable method of transportation once product gets from China to the US. I’d rather wait a day or two more than have to fight with several delivery attempts because DHL doesn’t deliver on weekends and loads up their drivers so much that they can’t deliver their route during normal business hours!?

DHL has poor customer service and drivers that don’t make an effort to deliver when the resources are there for them-at the very least a quick call to me and I would’ve had that gate opened remotely. They know that. Sorry for the rant I’m still waiting for my new iMac.

This why I thought, select to deliver my order to Apple Store then I can pick it up form the Store, just to avoid further delays.
They already moved the estimate delivery date. Imagine the actual delivery date and time would not match my schedule.

Finally update on DHL portal
But so ridiculous
It took 40 hours to reach Germany! 😅
I guess it reached within the 12 hours flight after it departed china, but they are lagging behind in processing BREAKBULK
