Diablo 1 won't load in Boot Camp

I installed XP (SP2) onto my new 24" iMac today, and thought I'd load up the old Diablo game as I couldn't do it in OSX anymore (lost Classic support). However, after installing the game, when I try to load it up I get an error saying:

"Diablo was unable to properly initialize your video card using DirectX."

All DirectX and XP updates have been installed, so I don't know what the problem is. Any ideas?

try reinstalling dx. that's my only advice. if that doesn't work keep searching for a fix.

It might be worth trying the patch at the bottom of the page. Dont actually know if it will fix it but definitely worth a try.

Yeah I thought that too but I already downloaded the patch and it didn't help. Thanks though. I've emailed Blizzard support about it so hopefully they'll respond.

Doh!

Finally got it working. I had to update the drivers from the ATI website. Unfortunately the first time I tried this route I stupidly tried to install the regular XP drivers (which don't work) because I didn't scroll down enough to see that there was a driver specifically for Boot Camped XP.
