Diablo 2 problems with installation

Ok, can't install the game as classic environment not supported, so I install latest patch (1.13).

However, when I try to open the patch, it keeps saying "BNUpdate was unable to find any software that requires patching".

Well, how do I make it so it can find the software to patch.

The native installer doesnwork, as it says please insert the CD, when the CD is already inserted.

There used to be an OSX version of the Diablo client available for download from the apple software page. Not sure what has happened to that now that the app store exists. You might do a search on the mac app store and see what turns up!

Or else download the OSX version from unofficial sources, then just use your CD-key with it. Make sure to scan for nasties, etc (just in case!)

Getting D2 on your mac.

If you have a valid cd key. go make a blizzard account and then you can use your cd key and download their ported version for OSX. It's what I did. Works very well.

Click the link that says " patch installation" and it will download the installer for you.

Then create an account here if you don't already have one.

Under Account ( top right in battle.net after you have signed in)
you can click "games and codes" > "download game clients" to find the mac version of D2 there as well.

Then under Account again and click "games and codes" > "Add or upgrade game".
Then you can enter your serial number for diablo 2 and there should be an option where it allows you to convert the serial number so it is compatible for mac. (can't remember the exact steps for this part because I did this a while ago)

Once you get this new key, run the installer and bam! D2 on your mac

might just give up as well, its only £10.00 now. I've tried everything, it just doesnt seem possible to install, is there something specific I'm supposed to do with the patch? Or do I just open the file after downloading it?

Not a genuine copy crazykid, can't register it, and Slux there is no diablo 2 OSX client to be seen on both the apple software screen and the app store.
