Hi MR forum-ers,

I've not logged into battlenet for over two months or so, and thus have not kept up to date on any of my games or the security of my account. I received a few blizzard warnings, but did not pay them any heed.

Now that I am actually interested in playing the game again, I tried to log in and found that my password did not work. I rather expected this, seeing as someone had probably gotten that information. However, I went to unlock my account, or 'recover' it, and my security questions were all in Korean! I figured hell, someone's got a good program or knows me waaay too well.

Blizzard's brilliant program for getting hacked accounts back to people is by making them LOG INTO THEIR ACCOUNT to make a ticket. I was wondering if there is a way to contact Blizzard and begin to address the issue that could be a bit more down-to-earth. At this point I am really wondering if it's even worth it.

Can I get my account back? Is anyone experiencing similar problems?

Thankyou,
Ellery

After about 10 minutes of searching, digging and prodding, I managed to track down the page offering their tech support phone numbers. They really, really, really don't want you calling them up, it seems.

All I can tell you is good luck. If regaining your account is anything like Steam, you'll be pulling teeth, taking stool samples, and offering up your firstborn in an attempt to verify your identity. Even then, they'll be skeptical you're actually you.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I figure I can show them physical pictures of the CD keys on my copies of the games if necessary. I just don't want $160.00 to have simply been stolen because I was lazy D:

when buying the new WoW expansion, the battle.net site made me reconnect my authentication iPhone program but i could never get it to work. It has me enter like 3 different numbers at different spots but always errors out at the end. so now i'm going unprotected
