UPDATE - Modded Title. Didn't realize 11.1 was coming out so soon. Will post what/if 11.1 fixed in the thread.

After Apple help, Store visits,Forum help, like many I am frustrated. I expected some issues with a new version of the OS. What I didn't expect was the breadth and inconsistency of the issues. After starting with OTA updates, moving to restores, then setup as new and while it helped some issues, it had no effect on others. I have had my devices checked out for anything physical. All have clean bills of health.
A good friend has a Mini3 and her statement was "Slow. It takes forever for things to load. and my Wifi sucks now." She is on a Spectrum 300Down Plan.

Here is my list. I am hoping that 11.1 will alleviate many of these. Hoping.

iPhone 7+ 128GB
Battery life is about 70% of 10.3.3 (poor power management)
App crashes on launch
App reloads when switching between apps has increased
Poor RAM Management
Blackout screen while on conference call locks controls
Predictive text issues (A for I and others) - have switched to GBoard
Excessive animation even with reduced motion

IPP 12.9 G2 with Apple Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil
Battery life is about 60% of 10.3.3 (poor power management)
Slow "right click" controls
App reloads when switching between apps has increased
Poor RAM Management
Predictive text issues (A for I and others) - have switched to GBoard
Excessive animation
Inconsistent Pencil functionality - works great most times.

By the way - the keyboard is great except for the arrow keys on this sight

The few things that I've experienced and would like to see improved:

- Battery life dropped somewhat overall.
- Sometimes the tap to scroll to top function would stop working in Safari (until it's closed and relaunched).
- Text selection can be a bit inconsistent at times (but that's something that's more or less has almost always been around).
- Also more animations that needed with reduced motion enabled.
- Some widgets are inconsistent as far as expanding or shrinking (although that's probably more on the side of the respective apps).

After I started this I saw 11.1 had rolled out. So I tweaked the title.

It is soon but here are changes/fixes I have noted: (will do the IPP later...)
iPhone 7+ 128GB
Too soon to tell: Battery life is about 70% of 10.3.3 (poor power management)
These have decreased: App crashes on launch
No change: App reloads when switching between apps has increased
Too soon to tell: Poor RAM Management
Too soon to tell: Blackout screen while on conference call locks controls
Still using GBoard: Predictive text issues (A for I and others) - have switched to GBoard
Animations quicker but seem the same under reduced motion: Excessive animation even with reduced motion

More later today ....

The iOS 11 .1 update has definitely fixed two issues the first being battery life which has tremendously improved after this update the second being stuttering animations and the overall fluidity of the operating system which is also improved. It’s a pity that the landscape keyboard is still the same and has reduced functionality compare to iOS 10.3.3. After a month of horrible experience with iOS 11 .0 .3 iOS 11 .1 has been a definite improvement.

On my iPad Mini 4 my issues were not being able to scroll through widgets properly (fixed), some animation stutters (fixed), and diminished battery life as well as inconsistent battery percentage showing (jury's still out).

On my 8 Plus, I never had any issues to begin with. I'm hoping battery life will be even better though.

Going to wait for a couple of days on battery life. Want to give it some time.
After charging to 100%, a few minutes of a game, a few minutes of Kindle, some email and quick odds and ends I am already down to 90% and falling. Note the Usage vs. Standby - I was only on about 20 minutes max.

So I will hold off on the battery for now.
