I have to go back to the Apple Store tomorrow and get a new iPhone (because of problems with the software on the old one). From what I've been hearing, I'll have to go back through the activation process when I get the new one.

Here's my problem:

The closest Apple Store is two and a half hours away. With one dysfunctional iPhone, I would like to be sure that the new is working perfectly before I leave the store and drive all the way back home. I have a PowerBook and an iMac--with the iMac being my main computer. My question is will everything still sync fine with my iMac if I activate it with my PowerBook?

I know intuitively it seems like it's just a matter of syncing the iPhone to whichever computer you feel like (similar to an iPod), but some of the stuff in the Apple manual refers to "syncing it with the computer you activated it with," specifically if you use the "lock" function and forget the passcode. I'm hoping this is like the iPod and means "the computer you're currently syncing with," but I'd like to hear if anyone else has done this before?

Thanks!
